The Full Training Board at Orlob Dressage is not a standard program – it is a structured system where every detail contributes to the long-term athletic development of the horse. The goal is a balanced athlete that is physically strong, mentally relaxed, and prepared for sustainable performance at international level.

Each horse is treated as an individual athlete, with a carefully balanced combination of training, management, and recovery to support long-term soundness and performance.

Training Structure:

Horses are worked 4–5 times per week, with the training intensity and content individually adapted based on age, experience, and current development stage.

The training focus ranges from correct foundation work in younger horses to refinement, strength building, and Grand Prix preparation for advanced horses.

Daily Management & Wellbeing

A high standard of care ensures optimal physical and mental condition:

  • Regular paddock turnout for relaxation and natural movement
  • Controlled horse walker (treadmill/Lauf Band) work for conditioning and recovery
  • Hacking/outdoor riding to support mental balance and variation in training routine
  • Individual daily monitoring and adjustment based on each horse’s needs

Nutrition & Care

Each horse receives a fully individualized feeding program, tailored to workload, metabolism, and development goals.

The nutrition plan is designed to support:

  • Muscle Development
  • Energy Balance
  • Recovery and Regeneration
  • Long-term Health and Performance

High-quality feed and supplements are adjusted continuously according to training demands
